FRIDAY, JUNE 12  – HISTORY 521 (afternoon)

MONDAY, JUNE 15  - HISTORY 421 (afternoon)

TUESDAY, JUNE 16  - LAW 521 (morning)

 

History 421- Finished up the Crusades with the video. We will continue with a select parts of Ch.12

History 521- Finished Cinderella Man to wrap up our work on the Great Depression.

Law 521- Finished video, A Civil Action. We will finish our work this week by looking at intentional torts as well as defamination of character.

History 421- Completed Chapter 11 with discussion of medieval church and its significance as well as the importance of Alfred the Great and William the Conqueror. Tomorrow we begin Ch.12 by examing the Crusades.

History 521- Class wrote WWI Quiz. Tomorrow we continue our examination of the roaring 1920’s and the dirty 1930’s.

Law 521- Discussed the two main types of Torts: intentional and unintentional. Read relevant parts in Chapter 14 of textbook.

History 421- We covered Ch.11 Section2 Medieval Life  (Feudalism and the relationships as a result, process of becoming a knight, peasant experiences). Make sure you read these sections in the textbook as we move forward this week.

History 521- We completed a review of WWI for the Quiz which will be written on Wednesday. Start studying.

Law 521- We began our final unit on Civil Law….chapter 13. Reminder, tomorrow we have our field trip to the Supreme Court in Charlottetown. We leave first thing so be punctual…we should be back for part of if not all of the afternoon classes.

History 421- Class wrote the Unit Quiz on World Religions. Tomorrow we continue our work in Chapter 11 Medieval Europe.

History 521- We discussed/received notes on the Russian Revolution. Read chapter 27 Section 3 in the textbook.

Law 521- Guest Speaker Mr. Drake discussed his career as a lawyer and class had questions answered on a variety of legal issues. Reminder, Quiz tomorrow Ch10 and Ch.11 together.

History 421- We completed the section on Islam and spent the class reviewing the World Religions. We will have a Quiz on Thursday.

History 521- We continued the WWI discussion regarding the Western and Eastern fronts. Read Section 3 The War. We will be watching the true story about some US soldiers in WWI called the Lost Battlion.

Law 521- All Correctional system assignments should be passed in today! Reminder of Quiz for Ch 10 & 11 on Thursday.

History 421- Complete the worksheets for Ch. 10 Islam. The Quiz on World Religions is set for Thursday.

History 521- WWI continued: complete the worksheets (Over the Top, Battle of the Somme, Section 3 The War).

Law 521- Chapter 11 Assignment on Canada’s Correctional system is due tomorrow. Quiz on Chapters 10 and 11 will be written on Thursday.

History 421- Class worked on the worksheet for Chapter 7 Sec1 Hindusim and Sec2 Buddhism. It is homework for those that did not finish…bothsides must be completed.

History 521- Chapter 23 Section 3 assignment was given. If you did not complete these questions in class you have homework.

Law 521- Students defined the traditional sentences listed on the board (chapter 11). Tomorrow, we will be watching a documentary on a prison facility to begin the section on the correctional system.

History 421- Discussed Hinduism and some key concepts as outlined in the textbook (Chapter 7 Section 1). Tomorrow we examine Section 2 Buddhism.

History 521- Class completed Ch.23 Section 2  in-class assignment. Anyone who did not finish must do so for homework.

Law 521- Ch.8 Quiz was handed back. We reviewed Ch.10 and completed Question #1 in the Chapter review (fill in the blank). We started Ch.11 by examing the goals of sentencing.

History 421- Class wrote the Chapter 6 Ancient Rome Quiz. Complete list of 8 terms from chalkboard for homewwork…and read Chapter 7 section 1.

History 521- The Industrial Revolution assignment is due Tuesday.

Law 521- Discussed various defences avaiable to accused (Chapter 10). We will begin Chapter 11 Tuesday.
